Argello (Officers Club)

Located inside the Presidio Officer’s Club, the Arguello interior remodel required the creation of a Mexican restaurant that harkens back the era of the “comandancia” and its’ original adobe structure becomes a place where history is revived. It is also a place where Traci Des Jardins explores here heritage with authentic cuisine presented with a fresh new take. The scope of work entailed build-out of the Arguello room, kitchen space, remote pantry location, and remote storage location. The kitchen, remote pantry, and storage spaces were preserved historic elements (light fixtures, ceiling beams, adobe walls and reinstalled in their original locations. Portions of the adjacent Portola Courtyard were included in the project, entailing the construction of a canopy for an outdoor dining area. Work included construction of walls, ceiling, electrical upgrades, lighting upgrades, drywall or plaster installation, HVAC system additions, plumbing, telecom and data systems, alarm and life safety and fire protection.
