Hotel Zetta

Located at the convergence of Union Square and SOMA and just steps away from San Francisco’s art, technology and music scenes, the Hotel Zetta boutique hotel project entailed the complete renovation of an eight-story building formerly known as Hotel Milano. The 116-room property was originally built in 1913 and reopened on its 100th anniversary with 2,760-square-feet of meeting and event space, as well as the ultimate playroom. The hotel was renovated to reflect the tech-savvy clientele that flock to the area. The exterior is an elegant neo-classical building that required minor upgrades on the first and second floors. A majority of the work focused on the interior spaces. The S+R Lounge at Hotel Zetta was is an innovative concept of a “modern tech” lobby bar and adjoining playroom as the ideal social hub for the emerging mid-market tech community. The scope of work entailed rebuilding the lobby bar, the entrance canopy and meeting rooms on the second floor. The ultra-luxe lobby has unique light fixtures and edgy artwork, which exemplify the comfort of the hotel’s design. Work also required an update to the hotel restaurant, rebranded as the Cavalier Restaurant, recently named as one of San Francisco’s best new dining venues. Today, guests are welcomed to find modern interiors that have a refreshing, unique aesthetic. Construction included both public spaces and all new mechanical system for the hotel. Upgrades are ADA compliant and water-efficient.
